A "small" hike!

While we were in Big Timber over Labor Day Uncle Gary asked if we would like to go on a hike with him and his family! We thought it over for a bit because we had Ethan (age 2), me (being 7 months pregnant, Alex (with a bad back), my Dad (not your everyday hiker) and my mom and Gavin. After being convinced that it was a "small" hike we loaded up and headed towards the mountain! We put Ethan in the Kelty backpack and strapped it on to Hannah's back and we were on our way!

The ultimate goal of the hike was to see a waterfall but after about 25 minutes of hiking and numerous funny comments from my father we saw no waterfall. We eventually met up with this lady who could tell we were all looking pretty exhausted and as we were walking past her she said "Only about 3 more miles to go!" ...wait what??!! This was supposed to be a small hike and my dad had already made it clear that he had a severe side ache and chances are what we were hearing was his hearing was his heart beating! Ha!...Ok Dad!

We eventually figured out that we had already passed the entrance to the waterfall so we turned around and headed back down the mountain, paying closer attention to where we were going! While Hannah was complaining about sweaty boobs, butt, and everything in between and my dad was claiming to be suffering from a heart attack we found our way to the waterfall! It was all worth it looking back because lots of laughs were had by all and we were even able to take some good pictures along the way!

Oh...just wait...one more thing before we get going... :)
