Next Up! Tennis!
Our summer was FULL of activities to keep Ethan busy, active and entertained! After tee ball and swimming lessons were over his next activity was TENNIS!!
If you're wondering - Alex, nor I, have ever played tennis a day in our lives BUT Gavin has; and that is all that matters in the eyes of Gavin's biggest fan! And therefore, Ethan needed to play too!
Tennis was held for 2 weeks for a 1/2 hour every day and most would think that is not long enough but to a 3-4 year old that is as much attention as your going to get! AND believe it or not there was a TON of improvement by the end!!
Ethan is very observant when it comes to sports so when something wasn't going exactly like it is seen on TV (ie volleying the ball back and forth over the net) he got very frustrated and said he wasn't going to go anymore unless Johnson (his coach) would hit the ball back and forth with him! OK E....
So, the next day I asked Johnson if he wouldn't mind doing a "tennis match" with Ethan just to keep him interested! Although he was not quite able to do a volley (I actually don't even know if that is the correct tennis term, but just go with it) he was very excited to be a part of a tennis match! :)
